Toyota Gives Back to Those in Need

If you have ever volunteered, been a staff at, or personally received services from a local philanthropy, you know how important they are.  Communities across the country feature organizations that help people do everything from learn job skills to protecting animal rights, and everything in between. Toyota has developed a very cool program to help give back to those organizations that are working tirelessly to make life better for someone else.

Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program

The program began on May 9th and will continue through August 16th.  It works in the following way:  Over a period of 100 days, Toyota will award 100 vehicles to 100 deserving non-for-profit organizations.  Each day, Toyota’s Facebook page will showcase five organizations in the running for car of the day.  Fans of this page will able to vote for the organization they feel best deserves the new auto.  The other finalists will be awarded a $1000 grant to help them carry on the mission.

So far, the winners have been organizations all over the country in a variety of categories from food banks to a missing children’s organization and beyond.  None of the daily winners have come from your Gibson City Toyota area yet, but if you find this page, check back throughout the summer and see if any finalists come from area charities you are familiar with.  You even have your chance to vote.

Vehicle Specifics

Another very cool part of the 100 cars for good program is that is offers the daily winning organization the chance to pick the vehicle that will enable them to best do their work.  They can choose from these options, many of which you can find now at your Champaign used cars store, O’Brien Toyota of Urbana:

  • Prius
  • Tacoma
  • Tundra
  • Highlander Hybrid
  • Sienna
  • Sienna Mobility Van

All are fabulous options and are sure to fit in nicely with any organizational needs they will have.  In addition, they’ll also get a “six-year, 100,000 mile Toyota Vehicle Service Agreement to provide extended protection beyond the vehicle warranty”.   What a great added bonus!

It is great to hear that Toyota is giving back to those organization’s who’s goal is to better their community!
